Our Newborn mini sessions are perfect for capturing your little one's first weeks of life. Our mini sessions may be shorter than our normal sessions, but the photographs we produce are just as stunning and perfect for those who want to focus specifically on photographing their baby.

At our photography studio, we believe that every stage of your baby's growth is special and worth capturing. While the ideal age for a newborn photography session is between 5 to 4 weeks old when babies are typically more sleepy and easy to pose, we can work with babies of any age. As your baby gets older, the poses are often more natural and baby-led, and older babies may be less inclined to be wrapped. This does not make your pictures any less special or important. We will work with you and your baby to capture beautiful, timeless memories at any stage of your baby's development.

I would recommend booking your Newborn session with us anytime after your 20-week scan. We understand that newborn sessions are best done within the first 14 days of your baby's arrival, so we will pencil in a rough date for your session around your due date and adjust this to when your little one is born. This ensures that we can capture those precious early moments with your Newborn while they are still sleepy and curly. Booking in advance also helps us to secure a spot in our schedule, especially during busy times, and allows us to communicate and plan with you all the details for your session. We want to make sure you have a stress-free and enjoyable experience, so having a session booked in advance helps us to prepare and create the perfect environment for you and your baby.

Your session will typically last between 1-2 hours, with a baby-led approach to ensure there is time for feeding, changing, and comforting your baby. It's important to note that some sessions may extend slightly longer, as there is no rush to capture the perfect moments. The focus is on creating a relaxed and comfortable environment for both you and your baby, allowing for natural and beautiful photographs to be taken.

At Beyond Memories, we understand the unpredictability and stress that can come with organizing a photo session, especially with children. As a business owner with children of my own, I take pride in creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for all our clients. We strive to make the experience as stress-free as possible by being patient, flexible, and understanding

At Beyond Memories, your session will be held within our home studio, equipped with specialist photography equipment and lighting. We have a wide range of outfits, wraps, and available for use during your session.

However, if you have anything special or meaningful to your family or little one, we encourage you to bring it along. This could be a favourite toy, a family heirloom, a special blanket, or any other item that holds sentimental value. We would be happy to incorporate these personal touches into your session, creating truly unique and meaningful photographs that capture the essence of your family or little one.

One important thing to remember is your change bag, with plenty of milk and nappies. If your baby use's a dummy, please do bring that too as it is a great way to comfort them if needed.

At Beyond Memories, we take great care in selecting the props and accessories for our photography sessions. We utilize a selection of blankets, wraps, props, outfits, and headbands, all of which are washed and sterilized after each session to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Our props are predominantly comprised of neutral colours such as creams and whites, creating a timeless and classic backdrop that keeps the focus on you and your loved ones. While in the studio if you see any prop's you would like to be incorporated into your session please let us know.

If you have any favourite items, toys props or outfits you would like to bring to your session, please do bring them along.

To secure your booking for a mini newborn session with Beyond Memories, we require a non-refundable deposit of £50 to be paid before your session. The remaining balance is then due on the day of the session. We understand that circumstances may change, so we kindly ask for at least 48 hours' notice if you need to reschedule your session. This allows us to offer the time slot to another client. Thank you for understanding our policy, and we look forward to capturing beautiful memories for you and your newborn.
